About

Statistics reflect the growing strain on Canadians' mental health, exacerbated by economic stressors. Recent data reveals that 17% of Canadians worry about affording rent or mortgage, 10% are concerned about food security, and 10% lack confidence in accessing a clean, safe place to sleep. As financial pressures increase, they further strain an already critical mental health and addiction crisis across the country.

At Terminator Foundation, we see this reality every day. Every year, we help over 100 individuals work toward recovery. Our innovative, Activity-Based Recovery Therapy (ABRT) combines movement, community, and support to help individuals rebuild their lives. These programs provide a lifeline of hope, showing that change is possible, even in the darkest times. We have never turned anyone away due to financial barriers—and we never will, 98% of our participants are unable to afford our program fees. However, we are committed to keeping our life-changing programs accessible to everyone. In order to continue this mission, we need your support!

This year, we are challenging you to turn the winter season into a time of resilience, well-being, and hope through the 30-Day Mental Health Challenge. Starting November 21st, we are challenging you to commit to 30 minutes of outdoor activity every day for 30 days, no matter the weather. Join us in daily exercise and fundraising efforts to support Terminator’s Activity-Based Recovery Therapy programs.

Why Join?

  • Boost Your Mental Health: Studies show that regular physical activity, even in winter, can help improve mood, clear the mind, and build resilience. Spending time outside refreshes both body and mind, even in colder months.

  • Be Part of a Supportive Community: This challenge is more than just 30 days of activity. You’ll be joining a community dedicated to showing up every day, facing challenges head-on, and cheering each other on.

  • Make an Impact: Every participant can create a personal fundraising page to track their progress, share their journey, and gather support from friends and family. Together, we’ll raise crucial funds to support Terminator Foundation’s ABRT Program.
